1. What chemicals are used, and how do they work? Slip-Be-Gone uses a patented solution which has unique chemical agents that create a slip-resistant surface by increasing the coefficient of friction on hard surfaces such as porcelain, ceramic tile, glazed brick, marble, polished stone, terrazzo, river rock, concrete, and quarry tile. It is not a coating that can wear off, but a process that creates a microscopic tread design on the mineral surface itself.
HOW IT WORKS
All mineral-based surfaces are porous by nature. When the Slip-Be-Gone treatment is applied, the natural pores are widened and deepened to create a tread pattern that is not slippery.
2. Does the surface look or feel any different after treatment? While changes to the surface cannot be detected with the naked eye, the tread design can be felt on a wet surface.
3. Who can benefit from Slip-Be-Gone? The list is almost endless - restaurants, fast food outlets, motels, theaters, shopping malls, convenience stores, office buildings, banks, hospitals, spas, country clubs, dry cleaners, medical offices, nursing homes, private schools, day care centers, health clubs...
4. What is the cost of the Slip-Be-Gone treatment? Floor applications vary from about $.75 to $1.75 per square foot depending on the existing surface, size and condition of the area being treated, whether it is an indoor or outdoor location and difficulty of application. |
